I finally chopped my hair off. I also got blonde highlights. I am planning on adding some more highlights as the contrast between my dark hair and the really light highlights is a little much for my personal taste, and I do want to go blonde. I had considered dying my whole head blonde, but the hairdresser thought we should just do highlights and keep adding more later to get more blonde. Less maintenance. Overall, I love it. Perhaps my favourite haircut ever! My only regret is not chopping it off sooner. I am pretty sure my hair will never be this long again.
Before: K, why did someone not tell me that I was growing 2 horse tails out of my head?? Seriously, that was the first thing I thought when I saw this picture. I didn't even realize my hair had gotten this long...oy.

Dear Daughter,
No matter what you look like on the outside, it is your spirit and character, shaped and molded by the Holy Spirit within you, that truly make you beautiful, not your hair or anything else.
As a woman, your body will undergo many changes through the years. Some of them are not all that exciting! Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. Real joy comes from knowing who you are in spite of all the things going on with your body, even on really bad hair days (or years, haha!).
You were busy doing an important job, raising the next generation of Godly people! The Littles are growing up now! Oh, it happens so fast!!
Saying that, I do like your new haircut a lot! It frames your face and enhances your natural outward beauty perfectly. There is nothing quite like a cut and color that is easy to care for AND looks good all at the same time.
You are an amazing wife, mother, and woman of God! You have been working very hard taking care of your home and family. You deserve some pampering now and then!
Don't ever forget, you will always be beautiful to me, just because you are my daughter! ♡, Mom
I love your new "do!" It's amazing how just getting a new hairstyle can give us such a pick-me-up. Like your mom commented, it is so nice to go out and be pampered (and then come home and have something to show for it!). BTW, I love everything your mom wrote... so encouraging. Blessings to you.
