Menu Plan Monday (March 1)

Last week's Au Gratin Sausage Skillet, which was a new recipe for me, was really quick and simple to make (since I used leftover sausage from the freezer) and it was pretty good! I would make it again sometime when I have leftover sausage to use up. My baking last week consisted of 6 loaves of honey whole wheat bread (recipe to come sometime), homemade soft pretzels, toblerone chocolate chip cookies, homemade pizza pockets, and mini saskatoon rhubarb pies (using half of the pizza pocket dough). The Toblerone cookies were definitely some of the best cookies I have ever had, and they were a huge hit with my husband. I don't know if it was the recipe or the toblerone....probably a combination of both! My freezer is starting to get quite well-stocked again, so I think I will slow down on the baking for awhile other than maybe a few more cookies or squares. I'm hoping to get away with not making a trip to the grocery store this week and just use up things in the fridge, freezer, and pantry, so that is the basis for my menu plans this week.
